Vacancy Test Engineer


The Test Engineer reports to the C&V Manager regarding product validation activities and to the Test Coordinator regarding test activities.

Relevant duties for the Test Engineer include:
• Reviewing requirements, functional and technical descriptions.
• Identifying and analysing test basis to extract test cases.
• Create test cases using SQL, Shell or Python and communicat test results to relevant stakeholders/QA
• Analyse results generated from automated and manual testing.
• Validation of data conversion using in-house build test tools.
• Validation of produced Map data prior to delivery to customers.
• Validation of products from special projects.
• Root cause analysis of identified deficiencies in products.
• Tracing and validating shortcomings in products.
• Contribute to further improvement of Mapscape's C&V tool kit.

You can analyse documentation, extract test cases and compose test scenarios to support the Validation and Verification of our internal test tools, data products and special projects. You possess a good measure of responsibility and self confidence. You have an analytic mind and think in terms of solutions. You are a perfectionist, accurate, have a good eye for detail and can apply high levels of concentration. You are capable of interacting well with both internal and external clients with diverse ideas and perspectives of product quality. You have good presentation skills.

• HBO (technical college) level work & theory.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix
• Knowledge SQL databases
• Knowledge and experience of Python or other scripting language
• ISTQB/ISEB certification is a must
• Knowledge and experience with software validation methods.
• Experience of the software development processes.
• Affinity with the automotive industry is a plus.
• Customer friendly and presentable.
• Good command of written and spoken English
