Job Description:

As the primary owner of client relationships your main focus will be to sell our existing products and services and to identify opportunities for new business. You are able to build-up and maintain good relations with our existing customers and will acquire new clients. Business development for Mapscape B.V. will operate in close cooperation with NavInfo Europe Sales.
You will also act as Account Manager for the assigned existing business with ongoing commercial activities, negotiations and change requests that need to be managed. In this role you will work very closely with our Product Management Team in Eindhoven.
You will directly report to the Head of Sales and Product Management who is part of Mapscape’s Management Team.
Ideally your daily hub will be in Mapscape’s Eindhoven main offices, but also other solutions can be considered.

We are one of the world's leading independent providers of software services for the automotive navigation industry. We engineer complex software that is critical to the production of digital navigation maps. Our software validates tests and improves digital map data, and enables its compilation into any map format.
Our products and services help the major automotive OEMs improve the performance and increase the functionality of their digital maps and automotive telematics services.
Mapscape B.V. is part of the NavInfo group which is located in China. With a small Management Team, short communication lines and very quick decisions, the organization has ~140 people in Eindhoven and ~50 in other locations. Mapscape’s headquarter is in Eindhoven with support offices in China and South Korea.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Create opportunities to accelerate business development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the company (Product Management, Development, Marketing and Finance) to create new business opportunities.
• Translate business and product strategy into a partner strategy, and identify partnerships that can grow our business.
• Communicate new product developments to prospective clients.
• Maintain a network of relationships across the industry with partners, potential partners, competitors, etc.
• Acquire new customers and profitable business for Mapscape B.V.
• Sales reporting to Navinfo Europe Sales and Mapscape B.V.
• Manage assigned existing accounts and projects, incl. change requests, contractual obligations, invoicing/payments and all other commercial topics coming up over lifetime of a project.
• Create forecasting for relevant existing and new business.
• Documentation and tracking of business opportunities, contracts, NDA’s, quotations and important client activities.


What we expect

Skills and experiences:

• Bachelor degree in engineering, business or finance with relevant (5 years) experience in selling technical automotive solutions to the automotive OEMs and suppliers.
• Proven track record of exceeding targets in an enterprise sales role in a B2B environment (Automotive,  IT, mobility or software industry. )
• Excellent communicator and experienced in Management presentations.
• Contract negotiation and closing skills with a good sense for profit and long term relations.
• Ideally experienced in selling Software and/or Service Solutions.
• Motivated personality with independent work style, but also good team spirit and ability to deliver high quality results even under time pressure from clients.
• Flexibility in work schedule and willing to travel (frequent).
• Experience with international organizations and different cultures.
• Pragmatic working style with experience in automotive procedures, but also easy going when not every detail is driven by processes.
• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Secondary languages: Dutch, French and/or German.
